Cybele knows first-hand what it means to be a client. Prior to founding FOLIO in 2006, Cybele spent more than 15 years leading high-profile communications programs for a variety of emerging technology, consumer and public sector organizations including ON Networks, Motive (now Alcatel-Lucent), Waveset (now Sun), Tivoli/IBM, Samsung, the City of Austin, and the Smithsonian.

Prior to FOLIO, Cybele’s career highlights included launching ON Networks; spearheading media relations for Motive’s $50 million IPO; leading analyst and public relations programs for Waveset, from startup to acquisition by Sun Microsystems; managing product launches, competitive response programs and integrated marketing campaigns for Tivoli in the US, Europe and Latin America; and various public affairs, community relations and arts administration positions.

Cybele graduated from the University of Texas, and continues to pursue her passion for dance, music, architecture, travel and community service. She is a Leadership Austin alumna (1998) and has held various board and volunteer positions with Big Brother/Big Sisters of Austin, Zachary Scott Theatre Center, Austin Entrepreneur’s Foundation, and the Austin Children’s Shelter, among others.
